The course is open to 80 participants from the public and private sectors, who wish to advance in the creation or strengthening of a Water Fund. Participants are welcomed from various stakeholder groups from the entire water sector such as:
- Stakeholders and professionals from watershed councils, civil society, river basin or international organizations; development programmes and members of UN organizations; and representatives of the private sector;
- decision makers, policy makers, and high-level professionals and managers active in governmental bodies, such as national water authorities, water utilities, hydroelectric companies, water regulators;
- capacities developers in urban and sustainable water management, Integrated Water Resources Management, water governance, amongst others;
As an introductory course, participants are not expected to have previous knowledge on Water Funds.
The course is organized in four modules. Each module will be developed over ten days, where participants must follow mandatory readings and participate in activities such as webinars, forums, quizzes and assignments.
